Michael’s Amazing Travel Bed

Bruce created a travel bed for Michael, who was born with a virus which damaged his brain affecting many of his functions, including his sleep center function. At home Michael has a specially modified crib to keep him confined and safe, but the crib is not mobile. Taking overnight trips with Michael has always been a challenge and has required one parent to stay up with Michael.

Bruce incorporated the following special features into the design of the travel bed:
• Bed is big enough to accommodate Michael as he grows
• Bed is very strong and durable, it is made from: PVC and Baltic Birch
• The small pieces of wood were glued together to increase strength
• Bed folds up and is portable, light-weight and durable.
